Call of the Void. Have you ever want to jump head first into an incoming train? Jump off a cliff into certain death? Or jump in front of a speedily moving truck? If so, then you have been visited by the Call of the Void. It apparently does not make a person diagnosed with suicidal tendencies, as the Call's symptom is not of desperation or losing the will to live, but of curiosity. What would happen if I jump? Death, of course, but what of after? Will I be merely a thought, floating in a dark empty space? Will I be reincarnated as another creature? Will I be in heaven or hell? Pfft, nah, not those, they don't exist.
But still the Call is there, ever so subtly urging you to take the leap. Maybe one day I will take the leap. But will it still be because of curiosity, or desperation?
For now, living is comfortable, death is not an option. But remain vigilant and beware of the Call of the Void, as you may get caught unaware, and answers it call.
